The rear façade consists of rendered masonry. The roof is covered with brown clay roof tiles.

The property is located in the Mülheim district of Cologne. The northern side of the eponymous borough borders on Leverkusen while its eastern side faces Bergisch Gladbach. On the city side, Mülheim lies next to the borough of Kalk and the inner city. The Rhine acts as western boundary of Cologne-Mülheim. Sonderburger Strasse, the street passing in front of the property, shows a low traffic density and is used primarily by local residents.
