d.i.i. Deutsche Investment GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of d.i.i. Deutsche Invest Immobilien AG, is responsible for the development, concept-design and administration of the group’s alternative investment funds (AIF) with investment focus on residential real estate in Germany.

This makes d.i.i. the partner of choice for private, semi-professional (high-net-worth individuals, family offices, foundations) and professional (institutional) investors who wish to buy into the public AIF, special AIF, individual funds and managed accounts that the company offers.

d.i.i. Investment GmbH is licensed by the German Supervisory Authority for Financial Services (BaFin) under the Capital Investment Act (KAGB) for the concept design and collective asset management of closed-end domestic special AIF and closed-end domestic public AIF. The collective asset management provided by d.i.i. Investment GmbH includes the portfolio management, the risk management, administrative activities, the distribution of proprietary investment interests, and other activities related to the AIF-held assets.

The term “semi-professional” refers to investors who commit at least 200,000 euros in an investment fund and whose know-how and experience are deemed sufficient to qualify them for investments in special AIF. This includes high-net-worth individuals, family offices and foundations, among others.

Professional investors like insurance companies, superannuation schemes, pension funds, foundations, banks, other capital depositories etc. are those that manage and invest not just their own assets and but third-party capital as well.
