The multi-family dwellings were raised as three-storey buildings between 1957 and 1961. The flats have 1 to 3 bedrooms and range from c. 40 sqm to 80 sqm of residential floor area, and (most of them) have bathrooms with natural lighting and optimal floor plans. They also come with balconies or loggias that either overhang the façade or else are grouped between pilaster strips. There is one attic flat each in all of the houses, plus a clothes-drying room. The attic flats were approved and developed in the early 1980s. There are 12 car-parking garages and one garage for special purposes whose door faces the garden. Both building blocks sit on a sunny strip of green with stands of trees, some of them old-growth.





This well-appointed housing estate is located on a highly frequented street in the district of Opladen. With a population of around 23,000 residents, Opladen is the largest district of Leverkusen, and has its own pedestrian precinct on Kölner Strasse about 2 km away. The Wiembach creek runs nearby, passing through a green area of rich growth that lends itself to long walks or outdoor sports. Other leisure destinations in the vicinity include a public swimming pool and the NaturGut Ophoven environmental education centre. A preschool, an elementary school and secondary schools are located in the neighbourhood, as are day-to-day amenities of every sort, including supermarkets. Several fine-dining restaurants within easy reach provide a culinary variety. The transport links are excellent. Motorists benefit from easy accessibility, including access to the nearest motorway, while public transportation to the rest of Leverkusen is also conveniently reached, the nearest bus stop being just a short walk away.
